FUCK YOU!

I was visiting The Angry African, and yes, he is very, very angry today. And I am angry along with him. I second everything he said, and I will give you a little more.

When a man and woman go to the beach and get married, they call it marriage. When a man and a woman go get drunk in Vegas and get married by Elvis, they call it marriage. When a man and a woman go to the city clerks office to get married, they call it marriage. FUCK YOU! to the folks that think marriage is a religious event. It's not, so get over it. EVERYONE should have the right to get married to another consenting adult regardless of gender. And FUCK your civil union bullshit too.

It's (not overturning Prop 8) is the smartest thing the courts could have done.
Those who are already married get to stay married.
Those who aren't only have to wait another few years untio Cali. is the only state NOT recognizing it.
The wording in Loving v. makes it plain. Marriage IS a civil right (not Civil Right) of all man.
The LGBT lobby effed up in it's efforts to make it similar to the Civil Rights fights of a couple generations ago.

Well said, at least they didnt try to force a divorce on the gay people who got married before the Prop......if you can call that a silver lining

I must be really older than I'd like to think. When I was growing up marriage was a sacred contract that was between 2 people before God and everything else was just secondary.

But I guess in reality, marriage was always a relationship status that was granted by the state. If the state didn't recognize you as married then no matter which priest, rabbi or imam said that you were married, you weren't married until the state said that you were. And if under the Constitution everyone had the right to equal protection under the law and the right to enter into a legal contract, then this ruling was bad by all counts. No one should be allowed to be discriminated against because of race, creed, blah blah blah you get the point, and no law or proposition or regulation should be allowed to stand that promotes bigotry in any form.

No matter how you spell it or capitalize it, this is a civil right that should be denied to no one.

Marriage Rights are a HUMAN RIGHT.

Civil Rights - according to the law - involve the prohibition of discrimination based upon race, creed, religion et al. What is obvious to the eye...surface factors that would cause someone to say NO to another person basically.

equal marriage rights are a HUMAN RIGHT.

that should be the platform the cause should run on next time around. civil rights were tied to the church and the church don't want gay marriage, dig? the church don't want no gays, thats truth. Neither does the military...don't ask don't tell.

Standing up for Human Rights would get the cause further. Separation of Church and State may lead to better results...
